www.freeorcasnow.com – Brings you the top 5 reason why 2014 will be a pivotal year for the shutdown of SeaWorld marine mammal parks as we now know them, barbaric and inhumane to Orcas. Narration follows:
#1 STOCKS PLUNGE – LOSE MONEY: Since the blackfish documentary of 2013, public opinion of orca captivity has radically soured, and Seaworld stocks plummet. In turn, PETA purchases the smallest number of shares to attend annual meetings and propose ethical policy change in developing ocean sanctuaries to rehabilitate long-term orca captives. Independent petitions to California legistlators seeking to outlaw artificial insemination programs and orca captivity completel, are reviewed. Over a million votes are slated for consideration in 2015, bill AB2140. Americas heart is won over to end orca captivity. Movement gains firm and growing approval, but sadly, orcas are still forced to perform for emptier venues with lower attendance. OSHA violations and court cases continue. Many lives are lost, both human and cetacean (orcas), but mostly, orcas.
#2 CELEBRITIES VOICE OPPOSITION: Willie Nelson, 38 Special, Pat Benatar, Cheap Trick, Bare-Naked Ladies, Heart, Joan Jett, Trisha Yearwood, Beach Boys, REO Speedwagon and many other huge musical acts, all cancel booked engagements at SeaWorld in 2014. Joan serves SeaWorld with a cease and desist letter for using “I Love Rock and Roll” in their corporate mega-buck show (without permissions). Shortly after, Ms. Jett. And the the Wilson Sisters of Heart, headline The Orca Freedom Concerts, in conjunction with the Pacific Whale Watch Association. In advocacy against captivity, working hand-in-hand with The Orca Conservancy, not SeaWorld! Edgar Winter advocates in writing through Digital Music News.
#3 ORCAS DON’T FLY:
Airlines sever corporate ties: July of 2014, Southwest Airlines quits working with SeaWorld, ending a 25-year partnership. Shortly after, United Airlines discontinues promoting SeaWorld vacations. Richard Banson, of Virgin America Airlines, makes a deal with SeaWorld that is quickly withdrawn, due to overwhelming public disapproval in October, 2014; while Alaska Air Group stops selling SeaWorld tickets on their website also. Further petitioning follows other airliners and businesses.
#4 103-YEAR OLD ORCA, CONFIRMED IN THE WILD IN 2014:
Granny, aka j2, is estimated by scientists to be 103 years old. She was captured with her pod in the wild in 1967, by a marine mammal park, but released, as they thought her too old at that date. This orca was just rediscovered, may of 2014. She is recognizable from a gray “saddle patch” behind the dorsal fin, and a half-moon notch in her fin posterior (markings on orca fins are like fingerprints). Her age proves seaworld’s obvious inability to contain, or maintain, healthy orcas (median life at seaworld is a 9 year lifespan).
#5 ORCAS FIND FRIENDS ON THE INTERNET: CONSOLIDATION AND ORGANIZATION OF ALL PRO-ORCA ADVOCACY PROGRAMS IS NOW BEING FOSTERED BY A NEW WEBSITE AS A ONE-STOP, NON-PROFIT SHOP. www.FREEORCASNOW.com

If your doctor thinks you have T1D, he will check your blood sugar levels. Many people with T1D lives healthy lives. The key to good health is to keep your blood sugar levels within the range doctor gives you. How is Type 1 Diabetes Different from Type 2 Diabetes? In type 2 diabetes, your body does not use insulin properly. This is called insulin resistance. At first, the beta-cells make extra insulin to make up for it. But, over time your pancreas isn’t able to keep up and can’t make enough insulin to keep your blood glucose levels normal. Type 2 diabetes can be treated with oral medications, and/or insulin. Type 1 diabetes is always treated with insulin. We are JDRF – Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. We won’t stop until we create a world without T1D (type one diabetes). hospitals, nursing and residential care facilities and out-patient care centres; offices of health practitioners (i.e. dentists, doctors, optometrists and chiropractors); medical and diagnostic laboratories; home health care services; ambulance services; social assistance services (i.e. for children, youth, the elderly, families); community food, housing, emergency and relief services; vocational rehabilitation services; and daycare services Located at the mouth of the Hudson River in southeastern New York state, New York is one of the world’s great cities. It has the largest population of any city in the United States, and it is unrivaled in the diversity of its neighborhoods and their often-colorful residents. New York runs the gamut from great concentrations of wealth, epitomized by luxury apartment buildings and hotels and mammoth corporate headquarters, to the grinding urban poverty of its ethnic and racial ghettos. A major financial and economic center, it is also a cultural mecca that has attracted generations of artists and intellectuals and draws millions of tourists every year. In its 400-year history the city has grown and changed rapidly, repeatedly renewing itself through successive waves of immigration and urban development. As a new century approaches, it remains, perhaps more than anything else, a city on the move. The United Nations announced in 2013 that Peru has overtaken Colombia as the world’s top producer of coca, the raw plant material used to manufacture cocaine. For the past two decades, Colombia has been virtually synonymous with cocaine. Now that Peru has become the global epicenter of cocaine production, the Andean nation runs the risk of becoming the world’s next great narco state.
The Peruvian government is trying to crack down on the problem by ramping up eradication of coca plants, and devoting military and police resources to interdiction efforts. Despite the response — and a hefty amount of foreign aid devoted to combatting cocaine production — Peruvian coke is being consumed in the nightclubs of Lima and in cities around the world like never before.
VICE News travels to Peru to learn more about the government’s battle plan against cocaine, and to see how nearly every aspect of Peruvian society is caught up in the fight. We witness how the fine, white powder has forced an entire nation to the brink in the global war on drugs.
In part four of the five-part series, VICE News correspondent Kaj Larsen visits Lima, where he speaks with foreigners who have served time in Peruvian prisons for drug trafficking, now stuck in Peru on parole.

Definition & purpose of valuation
•What is being valued?
•What is the effective date?
•What are the ownership characteristics?
•What is the intended use?
•The purpose and conditions do impact the appraised value.
Standards of value
•Fair market, Investment, or Intrinsic value
•Premise of value – Going concern or liquidation
•Identification of assets – Particularly any rights or restrictions by 3rd parties
Differences between “small” and “big” insurance agencies:
Legal entity; Management structure; Owner’s involvement in sales; Identity and perception of business; Financial stability; Quality of accounting; Ownership transition
The Analysis Process:
•Financial – 3-5 years of financial statements to determine “earnings”
•Book of Business – 3-5 years of revenue reports to determine the inherent risk of the book of business.
•Operational – Series of questions about the overall management, marketing, staffing, etc of the agency.
Insurance Agency Appraisal Methodologies:
1. Asset – Value based on the assets
2. Income – Value based on the earnings
3. Market – Value based on sale prices of “similar assets”
•Multiple insurance agency valuation methods should create a bracketed value or value range.
•Value could be discounted due to: Risk factors; Working Capital requirements; Controlling interest concerns; Marketability of the asset;
•The Fair Market Value of an independent insurance agency is not the “real market value” because FMV: Assumes a generic buyer; Uses average or textbook multipliers and discounts; Assumes “cash value”.
•If you are thinking of selling your insurance agency or buying an insurance agency, then you need a valuation from an experienced merger and acquisition firm.
Final Thoughts on getting an Insurance Agency Valuation
•There are many legitimate reasons to get an insurance agency valuation.
•Various factors can influence the appraised value of an insurance agency.
•The valuation process should be thorough.
•No two insurance agencies are the same or “average”.
•Seek an industry professional engaged in insurance agency mergers and acquisitions.

JDRF was founded in the New York area. Led by Lee Ducat, a group of local parents of children with T1D mobilized to raise money for diabetes research, and formed the first chapter of what was then known as the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. A second chapter was founded shortly thereafter in Miami, Florida, followed by chapters in northern New Jersey and Washington, D.C. The fledgling organization was defined by its commitment to research funding. In addition to the high priority on funding T1D research, the organization’s founders resolved to inform the public about all aspects of T1D, advocate for more research funding from the federal government, and maintain the organization’s system of management by volunteer lay people. Since its inception, JDRF has evolved to become a worldwide leader in the fight against T1D. JDRF now has chapters and branches in most U.S. states, and international affiliates in several different countries. New York, home to nearly 8.5 million people, is the most ethnically diverse, religiously varied, commercially driven, famously congested, and the most attractive urban center in the United States. No other city has contributed more images to the collective consciousness of Americans. Wall Street, is considered by many to be the financial capital of the world. Broadway has become known throughout the world for its theatre. Fifth Avenue conjures up images of expensive shopping while Madison Avenue is globally synonymous with the advertising industry. Greenwich Village portrays Bohemian lifestyles while Seventh Avenue is famously portrayed as the fashion district. Tammany Hall is defined by machine politics while Harlem evokes images of the glorious Jazz Age, African American hopes and dreams but at the same time, is indicative of American big city poverty and slums. Once the capital of both its state and the country, New York surpassed such status to become a world city in both commerce and outlook, with the most famous skyline on earth. It also became a target for international terrorism with the attack on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. The World Trade Center had for nearly three decades been the most prominent symbol of the NYC’s global prowess. Full list of Video Credits is stored here http://broadcaster.beazil.net/public/credits/youtube/videos/42544 While insulin injections or infusion allow a person with T1D to stay alive, they do not cure the disease, nor do they necessarily prevent the possibility of the disease’s serious effects, which may include: kidney failure, blindness, nerve damage, amputations, heart attack, stroke, and pregnancy complications. Although type 1 diabetes is a serious and difficult disease, treatment options are improving all the time, and people with T1D can lead full and active lives. JDRF is driving research to improve the technology people with T1D use to monitor blood sugar levels and deliver the proper doses of insulin, as well as research that will ultimately deliver a cure. Diagnosing Diabetes:
– A1C Test – measures your average blood glucose for the past 2 to 3 months. If the score is equal to or greater than 6.5%, diabetes is present. The Health Care and Social Assistance industry includes establishments and services such as:
